Standard Cold Aisle Containment Using Pelmets on Racks Internal and External View
Problem
Client required access for smoke detectors and cameras, within the POD itself, whist using our Standard cold aisle containment, alongside Rittal TSIT racks
Solution
80mm high pelmets were deployed on top of racks on top of which steel roof extension bars are positioned in which to mount solid clear polycarbonate roof panels for maximum light. The 80mm high pelmets ensured that the smoke detectors and cameras could be installed below the polycarbonate roof and did not obstruct the rack doors when opened.
The door track is mounted on end rack pelmets upon which synchronised double doors are installed, with soft self-closing mechanism, which has proven to be a very popular feature.
