UPACS with Unistrut Cable Support Infrastructure, Wire Basket and Fibre Ducting
Problem
Our client required a new cold aisle containment solution which would support cable basket and fibre ducting directly on top, in an existing room with a relatively low floor to ceiling height but wished to avoid the need to remove the ceiling to install drop rods.
Solution
DCE designed, fabricated and installed a UPACS cold aisle with a synchronised double door at one end and a single door at the other end of the aisle, both with soft self-close mechanisms. Support infrastructure was designed and installed on top of the UPACS above the racks and also crossing the cold aisle in four places. Cable wire basket and fibre ducting were installed on top of this support infrastructure.
